📅 10–12 MARCH 2026
Join Turbulent Research Team at Oceanology International to explore advanced passive acoustic monitoring systems designed for real-world ocean research, environmental monitoring, and offshore operations. We’re looking forward to connecting with researchers, engineers, and project teams working across the global ocean community.
What We’re Showcasing at OI London
New: Porpoise Pod Passive Acoustic Monitoring System
The Porpoise family delivers compact, low-power underwater acoustics with real-time streaming and high processing capability.
The new Porpoise Pod features up to four synchronously sampled channels for beamforming, directionality, and high dynamic range recording with mixed-sensitivity hydrophones. It offers per-channel gain and filtering, flexible scheduling, substantial onboard storage, integrated GPS time synchronization, and an OEM-ready design for seamless integration.
Paired with Trac software, it supports efficient acoustic data handling for both short- and long-term deployments.
Why Visit the Turbulent Research at OI?
At Oceanology International, we’ll be showcasing the new Porpoise Pod, extending the capabilities of the Porpoise family of acoustic recorders with flexible, multi-channel underwater listening technology. Visit our booth to:
- See our systems up close and understand how they perform in real deployments
- Learn how we support long-term, autonomous acoustic monitoring
- Discuss your upcoming projects and technical requirements
- Explore flexible solutions built for research, industry, and environmental protection

Passive Acoustic Monitoring Capabilities
Turbulent Research designs PAM systems that support:
- 1 to 5 hydrophones
- High dynamic range recording with beamforming capabilities
- Deployment depths from 750 m to 6000 m
- Up to 16 TB of onboard storage
- 24-bit acoustic data, recorded on internal batteries for full deployments
Our systems are built to operate reliably in remote, harsh ocean environments where data quality and system robustness matter.
Let’s Talk at Oceanology International
